Hi there,

A State Room Boston wedding is a dream for any bride! Stephanie and Michael fell in love with the modern, classic feel the State Room offered and immediately knew it was exactly where they wanted to celebrate their wedding day. It was important to them that they be surrounded by loving family and friends, so they choose to keep everything close by in Boston. With a classic and elegant feel, this wedding day was nothing but perfect!

Their Love Story

 Stephanie and Michael’s story began overseas when they were studying abroad in Florence, Italy, one of the most amazing cities in the world. They each lived with roommates in the same apartment building, but on different floors. The two groups became fast friends and explored surrounding cities and countries together. Eventually these two began spending more and more alone time together sharing a gelato or a eating at a nearby café. When the time arrived to travel back to the USA, they were fortunate to both call Massachusetts home. Their romance continued and well, the rest is history!

Getting Ready

Love and laughter filled the air as Stephanie and Mike each got ready in separate areas with their tribes by their sides.  Stephanie’s dress was stunning! She looked and felt like a princess. Even more special was that her mom actually picked the dress out and asked Stephanie to try it on.  It was love at first sight! From the moment she put the dress one, Stephanie new it was going to be her wedding gown. She wore a ring her grandmother, who could not be there, gifted her.  It was her “something old”. Her veil was her “something borrowed”. Michael’s cousin passed it along to Michael’s sister who wore it on her wedding day. What a beautiful tradition! It is something they will continue to pass down from generation to generation. Stephanie and Michael also wrote love letters to each other and read them while they were getting ready. Those moments were so touching!

First Look

Stephanie shared a special first look with her father. His reaction was simply priceless. He was overcome by the beauty of his little girl! She and Michael choose to wait until she walked down the aisle to see each other for the first time.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held at St. Leonard of Port Maurice in Boston. Gorgeous doesn’t even describe the beauty of this cathedral. It was immaculate! After the ceremony, I asked Stephanie what she felt when she walked down the aisle. She replied,

“The first time we locked eyes was when I was walking down the aisle. It was surreal and a feeling that can't be put into words. There's a lot going on from the moment you wake up on your wedding day - but we both said that as soon as we saw each other and were finally together we felt at peace.”

The Bridal Party Celebrates

Black tuxes paired with blush dresses were a gorgeous combination for this wedding party. They looked like they just stepped out of a magazine! After we captured a few portraits of just the newlyweds, the bridal party celebrated and cheered Stephanie and Michael on! There was so much joy amongst these friends. It was truly inspiring.

State Room Boston Wedding Reception

With every detail covered, the State Room was breathtaking! White, blush and gold tones filled the room. Touching speeches and toasts were made as Stephanie and Michael sat at their sweetheart table covered with elegant florals. Michael’s dad had the DJ invite their siblings and significant others to the dance floor to dance to a song his parents danced to at their own wedding. It was one of the most special moments! Guests danced the night away and had a lovely evening.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Noonan. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding story. It was a dream come true! I wish you both joy and happiness as you go forth together as husband and wife.
