Hi there,
Boston engagement photos at deCordova Museum Sculpture Park and Museum are always a favorite for Boston wedding photographers. This outdoor, modern and contemporary landscape had just the vibe Cheri and Ryan wanted for their Boston engagement photos. While the weather did not cooperate on this rainy July day, I was still able to get the most gorgeous portraits of these two! They showed up in glamorous attire and I was so impressed by their sweet and loving spirit. Not even the weather was going to rain on their parade!
Engaged Boston Couple Meets on Tinder
I absolutely love hearing how my couples met! It is one of my favorite parts of an engagement session. Cheri and Ryan met on Tinder and their first date was at a dive bar, The Peddler’s Daughter. Cheri had been traveling for the first part of the week in Minnesota, had a snowboard lesson and then fit in a quick drink with this crazy man. From then on, the rest is history!
Their Proposal Story
Two and a half years later, Ryan new it was time to propose. After quarantining together, Ryan thought the best move would be to "lockdown" Cheri and proposed on November 7th, 2020. She excitedly said "Yes!" on their Tiki-themed front porch, since they couldn't travel to Hawaii. Sarah, Cheri's Maid of Honor, decorated their porch with all the Tiki themed decorations that Ryan could gather on Amazon. They returned home after a night out on the town which included a nice dinner then a drink at The Peddler’s Daughter, the bar from their first date. Ryan summoned Cheri out to the front porch and dropped to one knee!
Family and Fun
Cheri and Ryan both have very successful careers and to know surprise because they are both the most genuine people. Ryan is a woodworker and the owner of Hulse Design Co. He left his corporate job in early 2020 to pursue his passion full time. I am such a huge fan of entrepreneurs who take chances and follow their dreams. It is so inspiring! Cheri is a Vice President of Research at ON24.
When they aren’t working, Cheri and Ryan love traveling and hiking. They enjoy cooking and are fans of bourbon and a great wine. Playing games with their children Maddie and Austin and their dog Puck is top priority. Family time means the most to Cheri and Ryan. Water balloon fights in their large yard at their beautiful home in Chelmsford, Massachusetts is a favorite way to spend the afternoon. After a long day, they are always down for some Netflix. Cheri has even convinced Ryan to watch the 90 day fiance! Now that is commitment!
Congratulations to the Newlyweds
Cheri and Ryan are getting married October 2021 at The Liberty Hotel in Boston and have an intimate ceremony planned. They are most looking forward to sharing the joy of uniting their family. Their dream honeymoon is a tropical destination like FIJI or Bora Bora with a hut over the water. Cheri and Ryan, I look forward to celebrating your wedding day with you! You both have brought so much joy into my life!
