Hi there,
Amanda and Charlie’s beautiful and elegant wedding at Rosecliff Mansion in Newport was unforgettable! I first met Amanda when I photographed her sister’s wedding. I became close friends when we found out how much we had in common. This is something I love to do with all of my couples! I invest in getting to know them and guiding and assisting them every step of the way. This way, a strong trust, and bond are already built when the wedding day arrives. Amanda and Charlie actually first met on the dating app Hinge, but they had a mutual friend in common so they had a good connection from the start! Their first date was at Brick and Mortar in Cambridge for drinks and they hit it off instantly. They share many of the same interests and are passionate about family, friends, and their careers. They ended up going on two more dates within a week!
Getting Ready With The Bride at a former Fire Station
Amanda had a wonderful time getting ready with her bridesmaids and family in Newport. She said the morning felt so calm. Her bridesmaids wore all-black dresses and it was timeless. Amanda's wedding dress was the most perfect dress for her and went well with the venue. She knew it the second she tried it on! She adores fitted styles and the way it shaped her body perfectly. She also loved the lace detail up top and the simplicity of the bottom half of the dress. It was the perfect combination of styles for Amanda. The beaded details on the straps fit so well. Lastly, the train was probably not something she would have ever imagined as her style. However, when she put it on she knew it would be absolutely perfect for the staircase at the venue, and it was!
Some special items that were incorporated into the wedding were Amanda's bouquet. She had a photo of each of her grandmothers. She wore her Nanny's watch and her "Gramma's" ring and the wedding garter she wore on her wedding day! These pieces are so important to Amanda and around most of her life. They had both passed in recent years. They were huge influences on her and she wanted them around as much as possible that day! Amanda feels they were watching over her to make sure she had the most perfect day, and knows both of them would have loved their wedding because it was totally their style!
Getting Ready With The Groom
Chalie also had a great time getting ready with his groomsman and family at . He wore a white suit with black trim and it was such a great look for his and Amanda’s wedding day. He also had his wedding date custom stitched into his suit which was so sweet! He then got to read a sweet letter from Amanda and then enjoyed some Johnnie Walker scotch with his groomsman from a custom bottle!
A Beautiful Ceremony at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Newport
Amanda and Charlie’s ceremony at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Newport was so beautiful! They even had photos of each of their grandparents on their wedding days at the entrance. The moment of Amanda and Charles locking eyes when Amanda was walking down the aisle is a feeling and memory they both said they will never forget! Amanda was smiling from ear to ear and so excited to meet Charlie at the end of the aisle. She was shocked at how calm she was. Charlie was emotional and had tears in his eyes as she walked down the aisle. They were both so excited and happy that this moment had arrived and tried to take it in as much as possible, but it was the perfect entrance and when their eyes met they knew it was their special day and their life starting together as a family and they both couldn't have been happier!

They say rain on your wedding day represent good luck. Amanda and Charlie had a great attitude about it and I made sure to make them feel that we could still capture beautiful, stunning, timeless photos outside and inside the venue. At some point, the rain was so severe, we brought a tablecloth from the reception hall to place it under Amanda's gown to protect her dress from the wet grounds. The rain was hard and the day was dark, but the couple’s energy and love didn't bring their vibe or energy down. Still, we were able to do some photos under the covered entrance and some outside when the rain stopped for a few minutes.
Bridal Party Photos at Rosecliff Mansion in newport
Charlie and Amanda had a stunning bridal party. We were able to capture photos inside in the most beautiful staircase and some outside when the rain stopped for some time. The couple wish was to be able to have some memories captured in front of the mansion and with the antique classic Rolls Royce, so we did the impossible to make they wish true.
Amanda and Charlie’s Private Vows in The Ballroom of Rosecliff Mansion in Newport, RI
Amanda and Charlie said one of their favorite moments from their wedding was being able to exchange private vows with each other in the ballroom of the Rosecliff before their cocktail hour. It was stunning as they were surrounded by candle light, elegant decor, and gorgeous chandeliers!

Amanda and Charlie enjoyed mingling with all of their family, friends, and wedding guests during their cocktail hour. They had so much fun seeing everyone so dressed up for the first time and doing their champagne tower together!
A Classy Wedding Reception at Rosecliif Mansion in Newport
Amanda and Charlie planned such an elegant and classy wedding reception for them and their guests. The decor was so simple yet so elegant and beautiful. The lighting coming from the chandeliers of the mansion was perfect, and created such an amazing ambiance for their reception! They shared their first dance to “You Are The Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. Aside from being stunning, their reception was also fun, the speeches were hilarious, and the dancing was energized! Amanda and Charles LOVE to dance and love a good band, so they were on the dance floor from the moment they started until the moment they finished and had the time of their lives! Their last dance was to Levels by Avicii. They had the band learn this song, and someone even took a video and most guests were on the dance floor dancing their hearts out! It was a perfect song to end the night!
Amanda and Charlie Vintage Rolls ROyce Wedding Exit
Amanda and Charlie had such a stunning wedding exit and photos in the vintage Rolls Royce! It just added another touch of class and elegance to their wedding day and ended the night perfectly for them. Amanda said “Lastly, our getaway car was such a special moment just the two of us to recap the night and drive away knowing we had the best night of our lives”
